Don't you just love when you meet a friend of a friend of a friend ... and you, after only five minutes, feel like you've earned a new friend?
That's exactly what happened when I met Nelson and Ivania. Ivania's best friend Laleh told her about me. In fact, Laleh was scheduled to have family portraits done with her husband and son that same day, but there was a stomach bug in their household.
So. I got to just photograph these two lovebirds.
And they had a lot of fun ideas of possible poses ... once they got used to me.

By this point, Nelson was all about the posing. He was super easy to photograph. I love when my subjects get comfortable with me clickety-clicking in their faces.
And Ivania was getting used to a big smile not being cheesy.
It was beautiful outside toward the close of our photo shoot as the sun started to set.
One of my very favorites. The light was oh-so-perfect.
And guess what? They just had their wedding and reception this past Saturday, and I was their photographer for their big day! Once I edit them, I'll blog them.
Thanks, Nelson and Ivania. I've loved getting to know you while photographing you together. I can hardly wait to see how the wedding photos turn out!
